Frequently asked questions

Understand how GEO analysis works, how to interpret results, and what the platform does and does not do.

What is AI GEO, and how is it different from SEO?

AI GEO focuses on whether generative AI systems discover, mention, recommend, and cite a brand or website. SEO focuses more on crawling, indexing, and ranking in traditional search. They share foundations such as crawlability, clear entities, and trustworthy content, while GEO also requires repeated observation of generated answers and citation evidence.

How does the platform complete a GEO analysis?

The system crawls the website, identifies brand and page signals, creates and runs several user-intent prompts, and parses mentions, recommendations, citations, and competitors from valid AI answers. Reports retain prompts, answers, sources, timestamps, samples, and score versions so conclusions remain traceable.

How should I interpret the GEO Score and confidence?

The GEO Score combines technical readiness, prompt coverage, AI visibility, citation quality, and sample confidence. It is a decision signal for the current sample, not a permanent rank. Review valid sample count, coverage, intervals, and raw answers alongside the score.

Which optimization methods are research-informed?

The platform draws on GEO research covering verifiable statistics, primary sources, attributed quotations, entity clarity, and fluent content. Newer work also motivates repeated sampling, uncertainty intervals, and multidimensional visibility. Findings are bounded by their experimental settings, so we do not promise a fixed uplift.

Can optimization guarantee citations, rankings, or traffic?

No. Search activation, retrieval, reranking, citation, and answer generation vary across AI platforms. The platform provides a traceable baseline, prioritized actions, and like-for-like retesting rather than ranking or revenue guarantees.

How many credits does an analysis use?

One credit is reserved at start and captured only after a complete analysis produces a usable report. Platform failures or runs without a complete report release the reservation.

How do free credits work?

Register and verify your email to receive three credits valid for three days. Plans, domain counts, additional URLs, and feature allowances are configurable by administrators.

Will the platform change my website?

No. The current release reads public pages and creates audit results, recommendations, or reviewable drafts. It does not sign in to or publish directly on customer websites.

Why can the same prompt produce different results?

AI answers are stochastic and also vary with model version, time, search index, query channel, and region. Reports preserve run context, core prompts can be sampled repeatedly, and results expose sample size and confidence.

Which languages and markets are supported?

The interface supports Chinese and English. Prompt language, target country, and market are configured separately. Reports and recommendations prefer the project language while retaining source text.
